Faith is believing God. He asks us to believe him first, before we get the evidence of his trustworthiness, as did Abraham. That's why Abraham was God's friend. Once we believe his promises and all that he says, we have our eyes opened and he becomes more and more real. Then we see his miracles of grace, as did Abraham when he showed himself prepared to obey God's command to offer up Isaac. At that point, God stepped in to prevent that happening, providing a ram instead. If you think about it, not to believe God is to deny that he is God. Worse, it is to make God out to be a liar! ';Those who approach God must believe that he is, and that he is the rewarder of those who earnestly seek him.'; (James 1:5-6 %26amp; 1 John 5:10)





God's word is full of his promises and of his dealings with mankind. The more we read his word and learn about him, the easier it is to trust him utterly. Yes. God asks us to trust in His Word in all circumstances.





Even John the Baptist send the question for Jesus while John the Baptist was in jail asking if Jesus was the promised Messiah or are they supposed to wait for another one....Jesus asked him not to look for his own circumstances but see that the gospel is preached etc.





And did John get out of jail and did Jesus help him? John's head was going to be on plate soon but God always does His end of the deal even if it sounds like He was not there are all
