I am actually only like 1/16th Indian but once in a while I'll watch a Bollywood movie and think.....yeah that's not how life is like at all!Has Bollywood created a false reality about love?

most indian films are love stories but not all. Tts a generalization to say all aren't realistic. There are also scary movies, comedies, action flicks, serious movies and drama. Now the film industry is really changing and a variety of differant films are being produced, not only love. Yes, most films still have love in it because those fantasy type films sell in india, but there are still a variety of other types of films. A few are, rang de basanti, corporate, chandni bar, sarkar, company, munna bhai mbbs, omkara, kaun, zakhm, fire, earth...
Bollywood creates a fantasy world. It isn't supposed to be realistic. However, you're right that Hollywood and Bollywood have created a false ideal about what love is supposed to be. People expect this magic that just doesn't really happen that way. Love is amazing, yes, but it isn't like you see in the movies. I blame this false idealism, in part, for current divorce rates.

bollywood does not reflect life, but a socal morey about life (that's why they usually break out into song and dance instead of kissing or showing a sex scene)
i dont watch bollywood much but, isnt every movie just fantasy? not real.
