He is assuming Islam is true. That's an opinion that he obviously holds. Nothing wrong with that, it just taints the question.





I would think that one sign a religion is 'true' is the love and compassion expressed for all people. Not of their sins, but of the people. ';love the sinner, hate the sin';





Why would God only love the pious %26amp; righteous? Did he not create everyone? As a good parental figure, he would dislike their poor behaviors and hope they turn to good.





This love wouldn't stop him from punishing poor behavior, though. So I'd have to say...

The true God loves everyone. The truth is no man is righteous it is the reason for Christ to come to the world.
Firstly, Islam is the true religon in the eyes of over 1 billion in this world, and is the fastest growing religon despite the tainted reputation its enemies tend to give it. This is because some decent people, unlike those who attack and sarcast something they don't know, take their time in learning its truth and analysing it logically, where they mostly end up embracing it after seeing the many many miracles and beauty it beholds. We Muslims believe that Christianity and Judiasm are true religons as well, coming from God through his messengers and prophets. We just believe that the Christians and Jews corrupted their original faith, and fabricated numerous ';bibles'; of which non are the original one sent from God. As for your question, it is irrelavant and makes no sense, because even in Islam, God loves all mankind, including sinners, and thats why he gives us all a chance to return to him and regret our sins, and forgives us completely and grants us with numerous blessings we don't really deserve. Sinning is a human nature, and what matters is always regretting your sins and turning back to your God to seek His endless forgiveness.
I'm muslim...i don't think the pious purposefully try to piss people off.
